Carl J. Meyers
Regent Carl Meyers is a Republican from Dearborn. He is a graduate of the University of Michigan-Dearborn, School of Business, where he earned a BSA in 1979.
Regent Meyers is a Senior Vice President of Investments at Raymond James Financial in Plymouth, Michigan. He has over 40 years of finance experience in wealth management and investment strategies. The primary focus of his investment practice is multi-generational wealth strategies for families, along with investment services for foundations, endowments and municipalities.
Prior to joining Raymond James, Regent Meyers was a Managing Member and Partner at the Detroit-based investment firm of Roney and Company. He began his financial services career in 1982 at the investment firm of Paine Webber Jackson and Curtis in Dearborn, Michigan.
He is active in his local community and has served on municipal, private and philanthropic boards. Carl is the past President of the Dearborn Goodfellows, past President of the Dearborn Centurions and past Chairman and member of the Dearborn Local Officials Compensation Commission.
Regent Meyers served as Chairman of the City of Dearborn’s Police, Fire and General Employee’s pension boards from 2008-2022. The Boards, led by Regent Meyers, were responsible for plan administration and investment oversight of plan assets. Also, Regent Meyers is a past Board Member, Secretary, and Special Advisor to the Board of Member Focus Credit Union.
He was an appointee of Governor John Engler on the Michigan State Police Pension Board, 1993.
Regent Meyers resides in Dearborn with his wife Mary. They are proud parents of three children and two grandchildren.
Regent Meyers was elected to the Board of Regents in 2024. His term expires January 1, 2033.
